Fix Your Tooth Within A Single Visit: Inlays and Onlays

toothfullwhiteDid you break your tooth and are worried you will need a dental crown? Perhaps you are suffering from a large cavity and have been concerned that a filling cannot possibly fix your situation. Rest assured, we understand you feel nervous about seeking restorative treatment, which is why we strive to offer you a multitude of options while keeping your convenience as a priority. For patients whose tooth damage has surpassed the capabilities of a dental filling but does not yet require a crown, we offer something else: Inlays and onlays restore and repair your tooth – and we can do it all within a single visit.

The Details

Inlays and onlays offer a middle ground between fillings and crowns. We will craft them before placing them, much like puzzle pieces, to fit into or onto the area of your tooth that is missing tissue. This means that they are indirect, or pre-fabricated, unlike fillings. They also replace a portion of your tooth rather than covering your entire tooth, unlike dental crowns.

More About Inlays and Onlays

An inlay fits within the cusps on top of your tooth when you suffer from damage or decay. An onlay replaces the other portions of your teeth, including the cusps or the parts that stick out on your tooth’s chewing surfaces, as well as tissue down along the side of your tooth.

One-Visit Treatment

We offer inlays and onlays created with CEREC technology. This means that we will take 3D digital impressions of your teeth rather than traditional impressions, which we will upload into a machine that uses CAD/CAM technology. Based on your impressions, you will receive a custom-crafted, color-matched restoration made out of a solid block of ceramic. Thanks to the efficiency of this technology, you will receive your inlay or onlay within one visit.
